Photo albums, family recipes, and event close-out

Albums now have a detail view with a photo grid, an uploader, and a full-screen viewer.

You can tag family members in album photos.

You can react to individual photos in an album.

You can search and filter the family photo library by event, person, date, and who uploaded it.

You can add a photo from a post in the feed to an album, and albums can fill themselves from matching posts.
•
Event pages now show the event's album, and archived events are protected from further changes.

You can browse, search, and write down family recipes.
•
You can leave cooking notes with photos on a recipe.
•
Organizers are now prompted to close out an event once it is over.
•
Closing out an event lets you refund whatever money went unspent back to the people who contributed.

Organizers confirm that the money they collect is personal and not for business before they can receive it.

Organizers confirm this for each event at close-out, not just once when setting up payouts.

The feed keeps loading past the first 50 posts, reactions clearly show when they are active, and headings make the feed easier to navigate with a screen reader.

Recording what an event cost is now framed around getting reimbursed rather than filling in paperwork.

Setting up payouts now prefills the details we already have on file, so there is less to type.

Shared event costs, refunds, and a family directory that keeps itself up to date

Organizers can close out an event and refund whatever money went unspent back to the people who contributed.

Organizers can record what an event actually cost, so contributions can be checked against real spending.

Before receiving money, an organizer confirms that the funds are personal contributions and not business income.

You can change an event's type after creating it, and simple events and pay-the-organizer-directly costs now show correctly everywhere.

Every member gets a directory entry when they join, and existing members have entries created for them.
•
When someone joins, we check them against existing directory entries first instead of adding a duplicate.
•
You can invite someone to join straight from their directory card.
•
Admins have a new screen for reviewing the directory and merging duplicate entries.

Money collected for an event is now described as a contribution toward shared costs rather than a registration fee, everywhere it appears.
•
A merged directory entry can now be unmerged if the merge was a mistake.

Admins now see a warning before an action shares someone's private contact details with another person.
•
The family tree now handles sibling relationships properly, so they save and can be found again.
•
The person a directory entry represents can always edit their own entry.
•
Pricing and payment settings lock once the first person signs up, with a clear in-app explanation of why.

Dark mode, real email delivery, and a payouts view for events

Clearer event pricing and smoother event editing
