Agreement to Terms
By accessing and using Kinloom (kinloom.app), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our platform.
About Kinloom
Kinloom is a platform for families to organize private gatherings: reunions, family camp weekends, celebrations. One person organizes, family members sign up the people they are bringing, and everyone contributes toward what the gathering costs. The organizer collects those contributions and spends them on the group's behalf, on things like a venue, catering, and supplies.
Money moving through Kinloom is family members sharing the cost of a private event. It is not a purchase, a ticket sale, or payment for a service.
What Kinloom May Not Be Used For
Kinloom is built for private family gatherings, and using it for anything else is a breach of these terms. You may not use Kinloom to:

Sell goods or services, or collect money for anything a person receives in exchange
•
Run a ticketed event open to the general public
•
Raise funds from the general public, including charitable or campaign fundraising
•
Move money that is unrelated to the costs of a specific gathering
We may pause collection or close an organization that uses Kinloom for any of the above.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account on Kinloom. By creating an account you confirm that you are eligible to use the platform and that the information you provide is accurate.
Account Registration
To sign up for the platform you must create an account using your phone number or email address. You agree to:

Provide accurate and complete information

Keep your contact information current
•
Not share your account access with others
•
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
Email Communications Consent
By registering an account and providing your contact details on Kinloom, you consent to receive communications from your family organization. These may include event updates, registration confirmations, payment receipts, and organizational announcements.
Message Frequency: Notifications are sent only when relevant actions or updates occur for events you are registered for or organizations you belong to. No promotional marketing emails will be sent.
Opt-Out: You may manage notification preferences in your account settings. Note that certain transactional notifications (payment confirmations, registration receipts) cannot be opted out of as they are required for your records.
Signing Up and Contributing
When you sign up for a gathering through Kinloom, you agree to the following:

The amount shown is each attendee's share of what the gathering costs
•
Children under the age exemption threshold (set by the organizer) may be included at no cost
•
Contributions are processed securely via Stripe
•
Kinloom charges the organizer a 4% platform fee on each contribution, which is how Kinloom is paid for the service
•
Sign-up and contribution deadlines are set by the organizer
•
Contributing in installments may be allowed at the organizer's discretion
If Money Is Left Over
Organizers collect contributions to cover the costs of the gathering, and they confirm before they can be paid that this is what the money is for. Anything left over after the event goes back to the people who contributed.
Refund Policy
Refunds of contributions are managed by the event organizer. Please contact the organizer directly to request one. Refund requests are subject to the organization's policies. We cannot guarantee that all refund requests will be honored, as this is at the discretion of each event organizer.
Payment Processing
All contributions are processed through Stripe. By paying, you agree to Stripe's terms of service. Kinloom does not store your credit card or payment details directly. All payment information is handled securely by Stripe.
User Conduct
You agree not to:

Misrepresent your identity or relationships
•
Register individuals who are not part of your immediate family or household
•
Use the platform for any purpose outside of the family organization
•
Attempt to access accounts or data that does not belong to you
•
Use the website for any unlawful purpose
Limitation of Liability
Kinloom provides this platform on an "as is" basis. We are not liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use our services, the actions or decisions of event organizers, or any interruptions or errors in the platform.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Continued use of the website after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
